Welcome to Usworth Colliery Primary School
I’d like to welcome you to our website.
I am very proud of our school and delighted that you are taking an interest in us!
Usworth Colliery is a well-regarded, friendly and happy school. We are pleased to boast a highly skilled and committed team of staff and governors, who work together with our parents to provide the very best education we can offer for our children.
Our children are the best! They are enthusiastic, well-behaved and excited to learn. We have high expectations. We expect extremely high standards from everyone within the school, providing them with support and challenge. We have a philosophy of teamwork and a clear vision for continued success.
Our school was named as a ‘Good’ school in February 2013 and we are working extremely hard to build on our successes. We hold many national awards, including International School and Eco-Schools. We are not a school that stands still and we are always looking forward to making things even better, in order to offer the best teaching and learning, and prepare your child for the life ahead of them.
Although this website can give you a flavour of our school, it doesn’t give you a true picture. The best way to gain a true insight is to have a look around. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
